HOW TO DO EVERYTHING
Who are we? Myrna & Tim. We developed the project A World in a Suitcase from scratch 5 years ago and it’s still developing and growing in many directions. We love stories, you can tell stories in many ways and visual storytelling is the most interesting and fun. Here’s a link to our website.

This year we are having to do things differently because of Covid -19. There is no face to face learning we only see each other on a screen. What we are offering is an opportunity to learn new skills meet new people in a different way. If you embrace and welcome change it can encourage you to have a new perspective on your life.
The World We Live In sessions are about storytelling and we want personal experiences that have a meaning for you, a photograph, a poem, a family story to shape the discussions. Have a think of examples from your life and what you want to share before joining the group sessions.

What's important
This collage is Tim's response to COVID-19 / Lockdown I found these words powerful and wanted to use words rather than images to convey my feelings but when I was making the collage a tree of life seems to have appeared around the words. The lockdown, isolation and fear of the future made me realise what's important to me and as the words say "everything I have experienced since Covid has changed my perspective on life" |
I am gathering stories
These collages are Myrna's response to lack of Human Contact and Racism. I was thinking about the lack of physical human contact and isolation during this crazy Covid time. I have been looking again at my life and important milestones for me. I have made contact again with those memories and this has helped me express myself in a different way. I can share my stories with others as it becomes a talking point. In the above collage it is me as young woman. Me as a child with arms around my sister. Sandra my sister who died in 2007. The Fool my 1970s/80s fashion company. The World image is from my video about my friend's story The Man in The Red Suit. My parents long since dead with relatives. |
